Chinese Child Proofing

One of the things you'll notice about kids if you ever spend time in China is the number of them with scratches, cuts and plasters on their heads and burns on their hands.

This got me to thinking. I really don't think that the Chinese are all that big on child proofing (i.e. it's none-existent). In some areas of Europe and America there's a movement that suggests we've gone too far, and that bangs and scratches (along with playing in mud) are a natural part of growing up, but having seen the number of kids with plasters here, trust me when I say you can never have too much child proofing.
