The film is broadly the same as the Wayne original I think, except that it's been made with the Coen Brothers' visual eye, shall we say. It's a good film. I'm not necessarily sure it's as good as the reviewers claim, but it's good all the same. I will say one thing though. Steinfield was good as the "wronged child" in the film. When you're 13/14/15 and acting opposite the likes of Jeff Bridges, it's easy to be shown up as an actress, and she more than held her own.
I think she should get the oscar she's been nominated for, but I don't think she will.
