Ok, so I'm a little dissapointed.

Ok, so I'm a little disapointed. Back in the 1980s, I can remember being impressed with the Russians and their MayDay celebrations. Admittedly I was only 10, 11 or 12 at the time, but it still looked impressive when they'd wheel assorted tanks, missile launches and army farts through Red Square.

I was hoping that China would do much the same thing, now that I'm living here. There's nothing more impressive (to my mind) than a few nukes and a bunch of guys in uniforms taking themselves terribly seriously. Sadly, the "Reds" don't seem into that sort of thing here. I guess that I'll have to try and get a travel permit for North Korea next year.
