I went to see "Ghost Rider."

I went to see the Nicholas Cage, Eva Mendes, Sam Elliot film "Ghost Rider."

I know that "Ghost Rider" is a comic strip and has probably got a cult following, but I didn't like this film. It sees Cage sign a pact with the devil to save his father. In return he has to do the devil's dirty work by collecting souls and sending them to hell. As he does this job (a job he gets out of by the end of the film), he becomes a flaming skeleton.

The film simply isn't scary. The transition between Cage and the skeleton isn't very scary (and is a long time coming) and Cage is too old for the part. It needs to be played by a 20-something.

The only good thing about the film is Peter Fonda (who plays the devil). He's the only one who comes close to being suitably scary.
