Went to see 'The Decent'

I went to see the film 'The Decent' this evening and trust me when I say that it was a really daft film that wasn't worth the money I spent on it. I don't know how many people went to see the film about a bunch of cavers getting stuck in 'The Cave' last year (I think it starred Cole Hauser), but this film was much the same except the 'baddies' were bigger, the cavers were women (as oposed to 'buff men' and 'pretty women' last year), and it's leading actor didn't irritate me (I'm sorry I'm sure Mr. Hauser is a good actor and a nice guy, but he just gets on my nerves).

The film did remind me that there are two things that I am almost phobic about. I hate confined spaces with a vengeance. There were times that I couldn't watch the movie because it got so claustrophobic. I guess that's a sign of a good film, or acting, or directing, or something, but it got so I almost had to walk out it made me feel so bad.

The other thing I hate is rats. Quite how anyone can keep them as pets is beyond me. It's not that they're disgusting per se, it's just I can't shakw from my mind the fact that in the wild they're filthy disgusting germ carriers. I almost feel as strongly about pidgeons and squirrels, but at least they don't live underground and so it's easier to walk away from them.

Rats don't appear in the film by the way, the whole claustrophobia thing just got me thinking about things I don't like. Incidentally, someone told me that in big cities, you're never more that 12 feet from a rat if you're on ground level.
