I went to see "The Ruins."

I went to see "The Ruins" and trust me when I say that if someone wants to make a worse film than this one this year, they've got their work cut out.

In this film, some typically pretty college students go on holiday to Mexico and set off to see some old Mayan ruins. When they arrive, they find it's covered in a weird looking plant and the local start shooting at them whenever they try to leave. The question is why, they were so nice before after all!

The fact is that the film isn't scary (or involving), is way too much like what's gone before (Turistas and The Cabin sprang to mind in the first minute) and predictable as a consequence, and the twist in the tail is just about as bad as anything I've ever seen.
